About

Welcome to my academic website! I am Hicham Slimani, a PhD researcher in Computer Science within the Electronic Systems, Sensors, and Nanobiotechnologies (E2SN) department at ENSIAS – UM5. My research focuses on the integration of Digital Twin, IoT, VR/AR, and AI to drive innovation in intelligent agriculture. I am also the founder of GREEN4TIA, a cyber-physical platform designed to optimize greenhouse management.

My work brings together real-time IoT sensor networks, immersive 3D environments, and advanced deep learning models to tackle critical challenges in smart farming, including climate prediction, early disease detection, and phenological growth monitoring. To bridge the gap between digital simulation and real-world crop management, I have developed both physical and virtual greenhouse prototypes, leveraging Unity3D, Node-RED, Cloud, and predictive AI workflows. Recognized for pioneering contributions in applying Digital Twin to agriculture, I have received national and regional awards (including the ALECSO/MarocNatCom IoT innovation prize) and actively contribute to the scientific community through journal publications, conference papers, and Technical Program Committee roles.

My long-term vision is to promote sustainable and data-driven agriculture by building interoperable, adaptive, and intelligent platforms that empower researchers, farmers, and policymakers to make smarter decisions for the future of food systems.
